Psychological discipline
Psychological concepts should be used precisely enough to be challenged — not as decorative labels or confident answers to complex questions.
About Work Being
Work Being is built on a simple idea: psychological expertise should be useful where people live, work, develop and face difficult choices.
Nicolai Schmidt Nygaard
Authorised psychologist · Organisational psychologistI founded Work Being to bring psychological expertise closer to the situations where people need to understand themselves, succeed together or find direction in something difficult.
My experience spans organisational development, strategic leadership consulting, psychological treatment and work in complex organisations. I have advised leaders, project managers, specialists and teams, and I have held leadership and healthcare responsibilities in demanding conditions.
This shapes how I work: psychological expertise must be evidence-based, ethically grounded and useful in the reality where it needs to make a difference. My approach is direct, honest and caring, with a focus on greater agency, better collaboration and sustainable movement.
Professional standards
Services and products serve different purposes, but they should operate from the same professional and ethical discipline.
Psychological concepts should be used precisely enough to be challenged — not as decorative labels or confident answers to complex questions.
Tools, data and AI can support the work. Responsibility for assessment, decisions and human consequences remains with the relevant professional.
Claims, credentials, client experience and commercial status stay separate. Payment must not create a shortcut to credibility.
Sustainability and performance are not treated as opposites. Psychology should help people succeed around a legitimate shared task.
Work Being
Work Being is currently led by Nicolai. Over time, the vision is to bring more psychologists and related specialists together under one brand and shared professional standards across Therapy, Consulting, Advisory, Coaching and professional products — without losing proximity, accountability or psychological depth.
